Morning, afternoon, and afterschool classes
Holistic introduction to music-making for 2 to 6 year olds. A music development and appreciation class, where kids have fun while they learn serious skills. Lots of games, songs and creative play. Introduction to a wide range of instruments and musical styles. Classes are streamed according to age and musical awareness. Maximum class size of six.
Group of Two: $26.50 per 30-minute class.
Finest quality tuition in groups limited to three students: Violin, viola, cello, guitar, aural training and music theory. Recommended for beginners. Enjoy the company of friends while receiving excellent individual attention. All ages.
$39.50 per 30-minute lesson.
Expert one-on-one tuition from professional musicians and highly experienced teachers. Range of instruments, including: violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, drums and guitar, as well as music theory and composition. ABRSM, Trinity-Guildhall and St Cecilia exams available. All ages and all levels.
Weekend classes, $60 per term for students of primary or intermediate age enrolled at the Music Learning Centre, $120 per term for non-enrolled students.
Acceptance is by audition.
Informal weekend tuition for enrolled students who have excelled in Grade exams.
Chamber music masterclasses led by professional musicians. (Low fees to cover costs). Expert coaching for exams, concerts, competitions and NCEA assessments.
Weekly rehearsal Sunday 1.00-3.00pm at the New Zealand School of Music.

A large varied ensemble for string students of all ages from about grade four to grade eight level. Fifty minute sectional rehearsal followed by afternoon tea and another 50 minute ensemble rehearsal.
Perfect for enthusiastic and motivated students keen to learn the art of orchestral playing. Multiple performance opportunities. Open to string students of ALL teachers. Several demonstration concerts showcasing solo and orchestral talent are held each year. At least one out-of-town concert is planned in 2013.
